The no heat problem can happen for different reasons. Maybe the bake element or clock oven control board can not send electricity to the bake coil.
No worries man. Today, we are going to let you know what to do when an electric oven broiler works bake does not.

How To Fix The Bake/Broil Element Of An Electric Oven
Fortunately, bake/broil element troubleshooting is not a very tough task to diagnose and solve. You just have to find out the problem and follow the below steps one by one.
Step 1: Pull and disconnect the range out from the wall.
First, disable the breaker to the range. Take off the two mounting screws inside your electric oven. You can see the bake element, take it off from the oven by removing the wires connected with it. then ohm tests it.
Step 2: Take the access panel out to uncover the terminals of the bake element.
Step 3: Disconnect the wires from your bake terminals.
Step 4: Perform the ohm test by following the below process.
How To Test A Bake Element/A Broil Element On An Electric Oven?
Step 4.1: First of all, you will require a Multimeter to perform the test. There are both analog and digital multimeter models. While using the analog models, rotate the dial set to the lowest settings for the ohms of resistance.
Accordingly, you have to calibrate the meters by pinching the probes together while adjusting the needle to read zero. The same thing goes for the digital multimeter as well.
Note that, before testing the bake element with a multimeter you should remove it from the oven.

Step 4.2: Now, use a probe to touch one of the element terminals. At the same time, the second probe should touch the other element terminal.
If the meter is showing a reading of 0-50 ohms of resistance, that means the bake has continuity. If there is no reading, it means there is no continuity.
Step 5: Replace the bake element and check your oven.
Is The Bake Or Boil Element In My Oven Burned Out?
You can not determine whether the bake or boil element in your oven is burned out or not by watching it outwardly. Rather you should perform a “Continuity Test”.
If there is no continuity, that means the electrical paths aren’t connected. Though bake and broil elements come in different sizes and shape the “Continuity Test” is the same for all.
By performing the continuity test, you will know whether there is a connection or not. If there is no connection, that means you need a replacement oven heating element.
Final Verdict:
Hopefully, the oven won’t heat, won’t bake is no more a problem for you. Our article has tried to let you know how to test a bake element on your oven. You will need to replace the bake element when it’s not working, won’t heat, or not baking.
